Who’s ready to battle? I sure am—check out “The 24 Hour Restaurant Battle” tonight, June 16th, at 10pm to watch. Now, imagine having to create a restaurant in a single day. That’s 24 hours.

Let’s forget about the décor and concept, the ambiance and atmosphere, and let’s just talk food. In the show contestants have just 24 hours to design and cook a menu of three courses. This week (tomorrow!) I am the advising sous-chef for one team, and it is my job to make sure they’ve got a delectable menu to win over the discerning judges.

Me? I’ve got no problem creating my own menu when it’s just my taste buds and me. But the contestants have to work as a team (with a budget, of course) and everyone knows nothing ever runs completely smooth in reality television. This episode is tense, but I try my best to assist my team—and let me tell you, our menu is lick-the-words-good (seriously, your stomach grumbles just reading the appetizer, before the food comes out!). I won’t get specific about the menu because I don’t want to ruin any surprises, but watch us battle it out! And root for my team!
